Tracking the return of 70's ahead of next round of showers. Trending MUCH colder in extended.

Following cool and quiet night ahead warming winds arrive on Thursday ahead of a slow moving storm system that looks to bring back the rain for the end of the week. 

But not before we get a pretty nice Thursday with some sun through the first half of the day and highs reaching into the lower 70's thanks to a breezy south wind.

Showers develop Thursday evening and overnight ahead of a cold front that looks to arrive Friday morning with the potential of a some heavier downpours and a few rumbles of thunder.  Rainfall on the order of a half inch to an inch appears likely.

Showers look to come to an end during the afternoon on Friday with a dry, but cooler start to the weekend. 

Our weather will cooperate for the Lilac Festival Parade with cool, but quiet conditions.  Temps on Saturday are expected to remain in the middle 50's despite some susnine.

Unfortunately, data supports the development of a pretty persistent upper level trough for the end of the weekend and into next week. 

Not only will this bring back those rain chances starting on Sunday, it will also drop temps even further.  In fact, the European model is showing some downright UGLY numbers by Monday with "highs" struggling in the 40's with rain. 

Ouch!  It doesn't look pretty.  In the meantime, we'll just focus on those 70's heading our way over the next couple of days.
