An Active Week Ahead. Rainfall Outlook and Long Range Forecast.
You'll want to take advange of the dry days coming our way in the near future becasue there won't be many coming our way in the next week or two ahead.
Following a very cool last weekend of April, a parade of storms will keep things quite unsettled this week with many rain chances.
While Monday will be primarily dry, the arrival of our next front will quickly bring rain chances back by Monday evening and Monday night. Following a cool but relatively dry day on Tuesday, this front is expected to back back up into the area and will be the focus of additional rainfall intermittently through the second half of the week. Another round will be possible by the end of the weekend.
Weather Prediction Center is currently forecasting around an inch to an inch and a half of rainfall this week.
While that will help keep things nice and green across the area, it will be difficult to find time to trim the grass. Right now Monday and Saturday are best candidates for yard work.
This wet pattern might easily continue into the second week of May. The Climate Prediction Center has all of the Northeast in above normal precip in the 8 to 14 day range.
In addition, temps look to remain subpar as well with below normal temps for much of the Northeast and Great Lakes.
