For once, it appears the Ground Hog will be right.  All signs point to an immediate and lasting pattern change that will likely set the tone for the remainder of the month of February if not into March.  

Winter Storm Warnings and Advisories have been posted for a HUGE chunk of real estate stretching from the Appalachian Mountains of Northern Georgia straigh up through the Mid-Atlantic, New England and the rest of the Northeast.  

Winter Storm Watches, Warnings and Advisories have been posted for parts of the Central Plains and Midwest for a storm that is expected to eject out of the Southern Rockies to start the workweek.  

Winter Weather Advisories, Winter Storm Watches and Winter Storm Warnings have been posted across much of the Appalachians, Mid-Atlantic and Southern New England in advance of a potent, early season, Nor'easter!

It's been a while since I sat down to to a good ol' fashion weather blog. But despite all the distractions that continue to exist in the world of news and politics, I thought now was a good time to dive back into the weather universe with multiple storms on the way over the next week plus over the Eastern US with a real taste of winter for some.
