Jeremy Kappell / Wednesday, May 1, 2019 / Categories: Weather, Current Weather Forcast Unsettled Pattern Continues. Better Weather This Weekend! The frontal system responsible for rainfall overnight drops south on Thursday allowing for a northerly component to our wind. This will combine with considerable clouds to pull in some rather chilly air off Lake Ontario with temps really struggling throughout the day for Rochester, especially areas near the lake shore. South of I-90 temps should moderate through the 50's to near 60 for afternoon highs. On Friday, we'll watch the front lift north again with the next low pressure center bringing yet anotheer round of rain. This will complete what has been a pretty soggy week overall. 72 hour rainfall amounts on the order of a half to three-quarters of an inch appear probable for most of Western New York. The good news is we'll finally get rid of the wetness just in time for the weekend with warmer temps expected as well. Updating your weekend forecast in tonight's edition of WxLIVEat945!
