A nasty pattern is setting up to start the workweek! Who could see wet snow.

A persistent upper level troughing  in those jet stream winds will be responsible for a series of low pressure systems will keep things wet and unseasonably cold to start the workweek.  

Rain will be mainly light, but persistent with pockets of heavier showers during the afternoon as temps struggle big time in the 40's for highs!  That's about 20 degrees below normal for mid May. 

Showers continue Monday night and it could even be cold enough to support some wet snow in the higher terrain across the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes by Tuesday morning as lows drop into the upper 30's in Rochester.  Off and on showers continue on Tuesday before ending late day.  We'll get a brief break on Wednesday with milder conditions returning as highs warm back into the 60's for highs and another chance for showers late day.  

Rainfall amounts on the order of a half to three-quarters of an inch is expected between now and midweek.  This will be great for area lawns.  For us people, maybe not so much.
