Winter Arrives Out West!
A highly amplified pattern in those jet stream winds will be bringing some very noteable weather across the Continental US in the coming days.
Most notably will be the seasons first signficant snowfall where Winter Storm Warnings have been posted across parts of the Rocky Mountains and a Winter Storm Watch for much of the Northern Plains where locally a FOOT or TWO of snow will be possible!
The storm will be accompanied by a very power cold front that looks to sweep across the Nation's Mid-section over the next couple of days. In fact, temps are expected to plumet from near 80 on Wednesday in Denver into the 20's with snow on Thursday! Yikes!!
Ahead of this blockbuster storm, high pressure dominates across much of the Northeast with a stretch of BEAUTIFUL fall days. The exception will be along the immidiate Mid-Atlantic and New England Coast where a slow moving slow is expected to bring heavy rainfall to areas like Boston and Providence.
We'll see some showers spreading into Western New York to start the weekend. Looking further out at the pattern for the remainder of October in tonight's WxLIVEat845.
See you there!
