Tornadoes rip across portions of Northern and Central PA last night!
The strongest of the tornandoes, an EF-2 touched down in Pleasant Township at 8:18 PM EDT. The storm was estimated to have been 400 yards wide and achieved a maximum wind speed of 130 mph.

The twister produced significant damage in Starbrick, where a lumber company was extensively damagaged along with several nearby buildings that were in it's path. The tornado continued on a northeast trajectory through North Warren and the Conewango Township resulting in several downed trees and damage to residential homes. The damage path continued through Scandia where a communications tower was downed by the powerful winds. The twoster finally weakened producing it's final damage at a golf course near Lounsbury Cornders. The storm remained on the ground for 16 miles.

In addition to the Warren County EF-2, a pair of EF-1 tornado touchdowns were determined to have occurred Union County near Buffalo Valley and in Columbia County near the town of Benton at or shortly after midnight.
In total there were 11 reports of tornadoes, 404 wind damage reports and 21 reports of damaging hail across the Eatern US yesterday and last night.
