Jeremy Kappell / Friday, May 24, 2019 / Categories: Weather, Current Weather Forcast Warming winds bring back chance for strong storms to start Holiday Weekend. The advance of our next storm system looks to turn our winds back around to the south and southwest as we start the weekend. This will bring the return of both heat/humidity and the threat for storms by late on Sautrday. Some storms could be strong. The Storm Prediction Center has placed much of Western New York under a Slight Risk for severe storms with damaging wind and hail being the greatest threats. We could see a round of showers in the morning on Saturday as a warm front lifts through the area. We will likely get a break during the day with temps warming into the upper 70's as a strong southerly breeze develops. Data suggests we'll see a line or a couple lines of thunderstorms developing late afternoon and evening with the capability of locally damaging gusts and some hail. Fortunatley, we'll see improving conditions returning for the balance of your Memorial Day Weekend. If our weather turns severe, you can get LIVE COVERAGE on both YouTube and Facebook.
