Cuba's Fight for Freedom!
Despite reporting from the narrative driven Mainstream Media in recent days, the uprising observed in Cuba has NOTHING to do with availability of Covid-19 vaccines.
As stated by Florida Governor Ron Desantis via twitter on Tuesday with the hashtag #SOSCuba, “The people of Cuba are not protesting about COVID vaccines or shortages — they are demanding an end to the Communist dictatorship that has imprisoned the island for more than six decades.”
The reason Cubans are protesting by the thousand are for very basic human needs such as the availability of clean water, food and medicine. They are also, for the first time in decades, openly protesting their communist government. This despite facing harsh punishments by said government for their open dissent that includes physical beatings, imprisonment and even risk of death.
According to Florida Senator Marco Rubio “The Cuban regime has already killed protestors And they will not hesitate to murder thousands if it means staying in power The risk of a massacre in Cuba, not half a world away, but only 90 miles south of Key West is real and growing.” #SOSCuba #PatriaYVida
While Americans have become acutely aware of the dangers associated with Big Government, especially the last couple of years, we have suffered very little in comparison to our friends in Cuba who have been severely oppressed since Castro's Revolution some six decades ago.

Yet time and time again, throughout history, people have allowed themselves to become slaves. Slaves to work.. slaves to sin.. slaves to fear… and slaves to society.
Think about the plight of the Israelites, even after being delivered from the bondage of Pharaoh and the Egyptian Patriarchy who had enslaved them for generations, went into an exile that lasted another 40 years before they finally entered the Promised Land.
As described in the book of Exodus, they wondered around in a desert for a couple generations as punishment for their idolatry and disobedience to God. Even upon FINALLY arriving, some four decades later, it was for fear and a lack of faith that denied the Jewish people God’s plan for them.
In the book of Deuteronomy Moses exclaimed, “Do not be terrified; do not be afraid of them. 30 The Lord your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes, 31 and in the wilderness. There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.”
32 In spite of this, you did not trust in the Lord your God, 33 who went ahead of you on your journey, in fire by night and in a cloud by day, to search out places for you to camp and to show you the way you should go.
34 When the Lord heard what you said, he was angry and solemnly swore: 35 “No one from this evil generation shall see the good land I swore to give your ancestors.” Deut 1:29-35
Think about that. Even AFTER personally witnessing HIS presence and HIS deliverance from the Egyptians, they still failed to act in faith and as a result, it took them 40 years to reach the Promised Land and some still were not permitted to enter it.
Meanwhile in Cuba today, after more than six decades of oppression by the Castro Regime, the people are making a stand and are all but demanding their freedom.
According to Florida Representative María Elvira Salazar on Twitter. “We’ve never seen anything like this before. The Cuban people are determined to be free."
The coming days and weeks will be vital for any hopes of a revolution from communist control who have already started punishing the protestors and censoring their people by removing access to the internet.
Maria went on to post “We cannot allow the regime to continue massacring the people of #Cuba and we demand that the Biden administration facilitate the internet immediately! The dictatorship has blocked the internet because it does not want the world to see how they repress the people!"
In a statement released by the White House on Monday, President Biden said "The U.S. stands firmly with the people of Cuba as they assert their universal rights. And we call on the government of Cuba to refrain from violence in their attempt to silence the voices of the people of Cuba."
While every American should be standing in solidarity with the people of Cuba, there are no shortcuts to freedom and this should serve as a stark reminder to all of us just how fragile our God given rights can be when infringed upon by man.
Ronald Reagan once famously proclaimed that “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.”
In the case of the Israelites and our Cuban allies, freedom has eluded them for generations and now offers only a ray of hope for a population that is desperate to gain some control over their collective destiny.
