...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 11 AM EST
SUNDAY...
* WHAT...Southwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph
expected.
* WHERE...Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming,
Chautauqua, and Cattaraugus counties.
* WHEN...From 4 AM to 11 AM EST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down some trees and power
lines, leading to scattered power outages. Shallow rooted trees
could be uprooted due to the very wet ground. Minor property
damage is possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for
high profile vehicles.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around
trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of
your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.

As a potent low pressure zips just to our north from Lake Erie through Lake Ontario overnight and into the morning hours on Sunday, winds are expected to pick in a hurry with the passage of a strong front.
Updated 3k NAM showing the potential for gusts to near 65 along the immediate Lake Erie shoreling including Buffalo and to near 60 mph in Rochester and higher terrain across the Finger Lakes. This will be strong enough to down trees especially considering the soggy conditions with some power outages expected.

The strongest winds look to occur in a narrow time frame between 6 and 10 am as the front races through Western New York.

Behind the front, precipitation will come to an end and temperatures will fall from predawn highs in the 50's down through the 40's, 30's and even 20's by late on Sunday.
Lisa and I will be back with a full update on when to expect the return of winter and potential of snow on Sunday's WxLIVE at 8:45! See you then!
